Residential 200 hour yoga teacher training at Siya is certified by yoga alliance USA for 200 hour Hatha and Ashtanga yoga. We are situated in the foothill of Himalayas and this place is considered sacred and holy as per hindu scriptures. River Ganges is not far, she is considered to be the sin remitter. The 200 hour TTC is a residential course, curriculum to be covered in a period of 28 days. This program is well structured to help you grow as an individual by walking on the path of yoga and rewarded by a great understanding of yoga practice. There can be no other place more fitting then SIYA to attain mastery on your senses and tranquilise your mind, body and soul for a spiritual and blissful high.
This program will accompany and support you in become a guru in Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga Yoga. The carefully curated curriculum of 200 hour Yoga TTC is great to learn authentic yogasanas and bestow the ability to propagate the knowledge among others in the simplest way possible. A progressive approach is presented to galvanize a yoga teacher in you. The 200 hour yoga TTC is conducted in English, Hindi and Sanskrit as per the convenience and understanding of the student. This yoga teacher training is held in SIYA Ashram, Tapovan, Laxman Jhula, on Rishikesh, India. With masses of ashrams and a plethora of yoga and meditation classes, the holy city of Rishikesh, India holds the title of "The Yoga Capital of the World". Breathe the fresh crisp air flowing down from the Himalayas and walk the banks of sacred Ganges River, where the holy Monks and Vedic poets have walked for centuries. Most of this activity is north of the main town, where the exquisite setting on the Ganges, surrounded by forested hills, is conducive to meditation and self reflection. In the evening, enjoy the sound of temple bells ringing as pilgrims and tourists prepare for the nightly fire ceremony offering or ritual performed on the Ganges.

Shat KarmaThe Shatkarma is the technique which involves six cleaning practices of the human body that can lead to a pure body and clear mind. These are a wonderful asset to your teaching and own health.
MeditationMeditation allows you to go beyond the wilderness of ordinary mind and achieve peace. You will learn how to share simple meditation techniques with your students.
PhilosophyYou will learn about yoga history and spirituality and how to apply this to modern day teaching.
Anatomy & PhysiologyLearn about yoga anatomy and physiology in the yogic body and how to assist your students in a safe and correct way during asana practice.

Attendance of the entire TTC daily schedule is mandatory.
Students are given one full day off per week, usually Sunday and half day off on Thursday but this may change according to the course program.

The SIYA yoga ttc course is based on the traditional Gurukula system ('Guru's House') in which students live and study with the teacher. The Yoga Teachers Training Course (YTTC) is an trans formative experience taught by the most renowned and experienced teachers.
You will be living in a place close to nature among green mountains, natural stream and in a company of wise & beautiful people.
Accommodation in a Private or double sharing room with attached bathroom and hot water.
We believe in non-violence and quote from Bhagwad Geeta “अहिंसा परमो धर्मः” strictly suggests that. Spirituality being the core of our organization we follow vegetarian course of meals at all times.
You will enjoy three meals per day during the course that includes plenty of variety and wonderful flavors, The food is healthy and hearty with a great selection of local fruits and vegetables. The food menu includes Indian dishes such as dal, palak paneer and rice, salads and western dishes. Food is always fresh and healthy and made with love. These meals are complementary to your yogic practices as they provide the energy to tide you through your sessions.

  • To apply for the 200 hour yoga teacher training course at Siya Ashram, Rishikesh, India a deposit of $200 is required. This amount is included in the course fee. You can make the remaining course fees payment after arrival to the course on the first day.
  • Accommodation facility only available at SIYA Yoga Ashram, Rishikesh, which is included in the course fee.
  • After successful completion of course, certificates are issued by Siya Society.
  • Classes will be from Monday to Saturday only.
  • No classes will take place on Public Holidays.
