Hatha is the conjunction of words ha(sun) and Tha(moon), and Hatha yoga is performing certain physical movements in a disciplined way to balance the hot and cold prakriti(nature) of the body. This is also cosidered as a preparatory process of the body for a higher possibility. Posture is an easy way to understand the condition of an individual. Consciousness can be elevated easily by practicing ceratin posture and that is what we call the science of asanas. The techniques which are used is as follow
Asanas (posture)
over the years of existence of yoga, these postures has been practiced to exercise every muscle, nerve and gland in the body. Asanas brings stability in the body while calming the senses and revitalizing the internal organs. The most benefit is experienced by the mind through the practice of asanas in a disciplined environment.
Pranayama
‘prana’ means breath or energy flow and Ayama means expansion, thus Pranayama is expansion of breath in a controlled manner for certain period of time. These practices improves the nervous system, and strengthen the respiratory system.
Dhyana
Also termed as meditation, it refers to focus on the flow of concentration in an integration with all the senses.
