Contraction of Different Muscle
The Principle of Vinyasa Yoga is also relates with locking (Bandha). The muscle locking and contraction of it helps in remaining in the same posture for some period of time and then gently moving in and out of poses. There are mainly three Bandha have been discus here. They are:
Mula Bandha: Tightening and contracting the muscles around the pelvic and perineum area.
Uddiyana Bandha: Bringing the navel towards the sine and slightly up, contracting the muscles of lower abdominal area.
Jalandhara Bandha: It is achieved by lowering the chin slightly while the sternum is being raised brining the gaze to the tip of the nose.
